Status: Exotic; Cultivated only.

Growth Form or Habit: Tree. 10 to 50 (sometimes 60) m high.

Leaves: Whorls of 4 to 8, sometimes 9. Intrapetiolar stipule present. Secondary veins from 25 to 45 pairs, somtimes to 55, angled from (sometimes 70) 80 to 90 degrees to the primary vein, and (sometimes 1.5) 2 to 5 (sometimes 7) mm from each other.
